Common questions
How do I cancel my subscription?
On your iPhone: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Allowance → Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Allowance never charges you directly — Apple handles the billing.
How do I request a refund?
Refund requests go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Approval is at Apple's discretion under their refund policy.
The shield isn't blocking my apps.
Check that Screen Time access is granted: Settings → Screen Time → make sure it's on, then in-app go to Allowance Settings to confirm the app selection is saved. If the issue persists, force-quit Allowance and relaunch — the system reapplies the shield on next foreground.
The camera isn't counting my pushups.
Make sure the front camera has a clear view of you and adequate light. Try a different position relative to the phone (chest visible, full range of motion). Good lighting and a clear, unobstructed view make detection more reliable.
My balance / streak / history disappeared.
If you're signed in to iCloud and CloudKit sync is healthy, your data restores automatically when you reinstall or move to a new iPhone. If you don't see it after a minute or two, email us with your install's anonymous diagnostic ID (Settings → About → Diagnostics in the app).
How do I delete my data?
Delete the Allowance app — it removes the local sandbox. To also wipe the iCloud copy, go to Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage → Allowance → Delete Data.
